The following items were not included in our 2024 Mass Market Sports & Hydration Product Survey + Report for a variety of reasons. This does not mean they are inferior products! Most were just not a match for this survey's target audience (the mass market). Reasons for their exclusion may include one or more of the following criteria: 1) the product contains caffeine, other stimulants, or ingredients harmful to mass market users, 2) the product contains a higher than recommended daily level(s) of a specific ingredient(s), 3) the product was created for a narrower group of users or applications (adults only, elite athletes, medical applications, hangover cures, or extreme conditions), or 4) the product was presented in a form intended for consumption by adults only (such as tablets or capsules). We still did complete assessments of these products, in the context of the needs of the mass market audience - those ratings and reviews are included below.

The above said, be aware that some products didn't just receive low scores because they were a mismatch to our survey audience - they also received low marks due to poor product quality overall, from containing artificial or potentially harmful ingredients, lacking the proper amount and ratio of electrolytes, containing diuretics that work against the hydration process, or containing high levels of specific ingredients.

On the flip side, many of the products listed below did receive high marks because of their overall positive characteristics - they just weren't included because one or more attributes kept them from applying to the mass market. If you are a member of a specific group of users whose unique needs are met by these highly rated products, you are looking for an abundance of a specific ingredient for a unique application, or the issues described are not of concern to you (for example you want a drink containing stimulants), then many of these products may be worth trying. If that is the case, then we suggest that you take into consideration your own unique needs and specific situation and overlay that against the product's ingredients and nutritional information in our review, and then make an educated and objective choice about consuming them.
